Get up above the trees in Prince Albert National Park!
This cache has been placed at a fantastic point of interest with the approval of the park. The view from this 10 metre tower is spectacular and well worth the short climb. Look out over top of the lush boreal forest! This would also be a great place to do some star gazing.
We also learned that it is a great place to let a toddler climb off some energy!
The viewing tower is situated on the divide between the Churchill and Saskatchewan river systems, and looks over Shady lake. There is also a 2 km hiking trail that begins here leading to the 1.7km Shady lake trail.
Note: You don’t have to climb the tower in order to find the cache, but if you are physically able to, don’t miss out! The tower is a short walk away from the parking area.
