In order to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Saskatchewan Archaeological Society is in the process of placing 50 geocaches across the province at archaeological sites. This is perfect way to check out some of the interesting historic sites that Saskatchewan has to offer!
The caches are still in the process of being placed, but the ones that are already in place are definitely worth checking out! Currently there are 15 caches, and several are nearby Rosthern. Check out trading posts, the site of a WW1 Red Cross hospital, and battle sites from 1885.
We’re excited about, and look forward to seeing this project completed! While in Rosthern for the event, or the next time you’re in the province, be sure to check these out.
