A great thing to do while is Rosthern is to take in a production at the Station Arts Centre.
During July the production being staged at the Centre is a comedy called ‘Hilda’s Yard’. This show is set in 1956 as a couple is celebrating being empty nesters, when surprisingly their children return home.
The show runs Tuesday through Saturday at 8 pm, with a dinner available beforehand with a reservation. A matinee performance is available on Wednesday and Sunday. Tickets are $23 for adults and $21 for students and seniors.
In August, ‘Mesa’, a comedy about a road trip from Calgary to Arizona, will be playing at the Station Arts Centre.
The Station Arts Centre opened as a theatre and art gallery in October 1990 after extensive renovations to the former CN train station. It remains dedicated to the promotion of the arts in the Saskatchewan Valley.
The Station is known across Canada for its professional concerts, theatre presentations and art exhibitions. The tea room has become a popular daytime dining venue for area patrons and tourists with its focus on local produce. It features delicious, home cooked lunches and breakfasts, afternoon teas and pre-event dinners by reservation.
This summer, the Station is pleased to present two summer theatre productions in July and August! Call 306-232-5332 for tickets and reservations.
